Madeline, a bright and passionate aspiring veterinarian preparing for vet school, was flying home from Seattle when she found herself chatting with two friendly seatmates, Dr. Jesus and Patricia, the husband-and-wife founders of FurlifeVets in Delray Beach.
The conversation naturally turned to Madeline’s dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Jesus and Patricia listened with genuine interest and encouraged her to stop by their Delray Beach clinic to experience private practice firsthand.
“It’s funny how we met Patricia and Jesus on an airplane. We were actually coming back from Seattle. Met them on the plane. We talked about how I’m going to vet school and that I should come by and see the clinic.”
When Rue Needed Emergency Dental Care
Shortly after that chance meeting, life intervened.
Madeline’s beloved dog, Rue, a gentle white-and-tan companion with soulful eyes, suffered a sudden and painful dental emergency. One of his teeth had broken badly, and he needed immediate care.
Remembering the kind invitation, Madeline brought Rue straight to FurlifeVets in Delray Beach for emergency dental treatment. “It’s an amazing experience, a private clinic, so you get to have a lot of autonomy and amazing experience with all of the clients.”
Rue has also become a familiar and happy face around the clinic, serving as a reminder of how one unexpected conversation can grow into something much bigger.
