Margo is our Certified Veterinary Technician who has been in the field for 10 years. Her journey first started in 2013 when she was accepted into the veterinary technician program in upstate New York. She earned her associate degree from State University of New York at Delhi, one of the most recognized and renowned veterinary technology programs in the United States. After returning to her hometown in Boca Raton, she passed her boards and received her credentials. While working full time in a small animal general practice, she continued her education online where she earned her bachelors degree in Veterinary Technology. After almost 5 years in GP, she made the switch to overnight emergency/specialty where she continued to grow her skills for the next few years before finding FurlifeVets and returning back to general practice.
What Margo loves most about being a vet tech is being an advocate for those who can’t speak for themselves. “It can be very scary for the animals who have no idea what we are doing to them or why, so it’s very important to treat them with compassion and gentle care.” Since becoming a fear free certified professional, Margo understands the importance of reducing stress for everyone involved in vet care.
Margo has always been a dog lover having grown up with large breed dogs, but developed a deeper capacity of love and bonding when she adopted her very own fur baby named Hope, a 10 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix. Margo also now has a 6 year old Boxer Mix named Boh who is Hope’s absolute best friend, and a 3 year old cat named Clover who she rescued from living outside of her apartment building. While Margo’s favorite thing to do is to be home with her fur babies relaxing, she also loves anything outdoors. Margo’s parents moved to Colorado a few years ago so she visits any chance she gets to enjoy hiking and skiing.
